I am very interested in persuing a masters/phd in something like "Cognitive Theology'. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cognitive theology involving the study of philosophy, linguistics, physics, neuroscience and theology- sort of like the study of spiritual evolution, consciousness, and ritual. A history of spiritual beliefs and their value in future human consciousness in relation to contemporary society. Similar also to some of the stuff they're studying at the Esalen institute right now. I am local to the Bay Area and would like to go to a state school (while I have to pay for it). Is GTU part of Cal Berkeley? Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: GTU Curious
Wed, May 5, 2004 - 10:26 AMHi,
Check out the offerings at the GTU Center for Theology and Natural Sciences www.ctns.org/
I imagine that theology here will tend to be more
traditionally Christian than what you'd find at Esalen
or the more psych-oriented schools.
GTU is not part of UCB, though there are certain joint programs and it's possible to cross-register for Cal
classes. Cal is on a different academic calendar, takes
a different library card, etc. You may actually benefit
most by giving the admissions office a call.
