From Arcadie to ActUp:
The Gay Liberation Movement in France, 1960s-1990s
The GLBT Historical Society invites the public to 657 Mission St., #300, (between 3rd and New Montgomery Streets in San Francisco), on Wednesday October 20th, 2004 from 5:30-7:30 P.M. for a free talk on French gay liberation by renown historian Dr. Michael Sibalis. The talk will be followed by a guided tour of the archive.
Dr. Sibalis, co-Editor of the 2002 book Homosexuality in French History and Culture, is an expert on gay history in France. He is currently researching the gay male community in Paris since 1700.
