Dear friends & colleagues,
I've made three thank you cards (one for SF Mayor Gavin Newsom & staff, one for County Clerk staff, and one for Assessor/Recorder Mabel Teng & staff) and hope you'll come and sign them. Each of these offices have, with vision and courage, made possible the same-sex marriages in San Francisco county over the last two weeks. During the Valentine's weekend City & County staff worked without comp time or pay - as Volunteers - to make this historic change possible. I, for one, was deeply moved by the graciousness, persistance, and integrity they exhibited to all of us who were there - especially the couples marrying...

The cards will be available today, Tuesday 2/24, after PSR chapel (11:10-Noon) and then will be in my office: Holbrook 125/Field Education (just past the PSR reception area) until Wednesday afternoon. I'll be delivering them to City Hall Thursday morning. If you can't get here to sign, simply reply directly to me - not the GTU list - with a brief message & your name - I'll print it and add it to the card.
