Hi All,
Sorry about the generic email, but I'm in a FABULOUS new show and I want to tell the world! It's at the New Conservatory Theatre, it's called Southern Baptist Sissies and I play a delicious alcoholic bar fly named Odette Annette Barnett. It's a fabulous play by Del Shores, who has written for really great TV shows such as Will & Grace, Ned & Stacy, and Dharma & Greg. Also, he's currently producer and writer on HBO's Queer As Folk. Southern Baptist Sissies is an exploration into the lives of four Texas gay men raised in the church. Through laughter and tears, each story unfolds to reveal a struggle for self-discovery. We are first introduced to Mark, TJ, Benny, and Andrew, recreating the sermons they endured during adolescence, and the beautiful hymns which gave them hope. The story evolves as the four young men battle between their fear of damnation and their true sense of sexual identity.
